Whenever I am faced with a challenging decision, such as what my major should be, or what to do about certain individuals, I tend to use the term "Debating". I am "debating" in my mind whether I should do such and such major or I am "debating" what to do about a certain boy for instance. Well, a friend of mine brought up the realization that humans now-a-days seem to use debate far more often then the word "Decide". Why does it matter? Well because debate is a back and forth argument that may or may not ever come to a conclusion. Where as deciding forces one to come to a conclusion. Example! For a while I have been "debating" on what I should major in. There is no commitment in that statement! So I signed up for a career exploration class and so far, it has been helping me reach more narrowed conclusions as to what I am interested in. I still am not sure but I am trying to decide.
