Thoughts from an Angel Sister Missionary

I have a dear friend on a mission right now. I am always inspired by her words of faith and joy! Here are a couple thoughts form her last email.


I just wanted to give you all a life tip that REALLY helped me yesterday.:) When you have a hard day, at the end of the day, write in your journal, and only write all the beautiful things of the day and all the moments when you felt God's love. It will flip the state of you heart upside down. And you will reflect on things in a totally different light. Will you do it? I promise if you do, you will look back on your day and think"wow, that day was actually incredible. Heavenly Father loves me so much.:)"

 Something Else that will be helpful to you*
Take time to slow down, and PRAY sincerely. IF you feel bothered or upset just TELL Heavenly Father about it, don't pretend everything is fine and just thank him for a billion blessings(though being thankful is amazing) but just get it ALL out, all off your chest. Preach My Gospel says be open and honest in your communication with your Heavenly Father and it REALLY DOES make a difference. Just give him your burden and then move forward. HE will take it, I promise. And he is the perfect listener. I promise if you pray with all sincerity of heart you will FEEL his love and angels around you as you pray. I have felt that this week as I have prayed openly and honestly and given my burdens to the Lord and I know that he is very near, and very aware of each of you because I have felt him near me.:)

Silent Cries Need Addressed

Depression, Anxiety, Suicide...There are so many ideas and words attached to them. I am not going to claim I know what it is like to want to kill yourself...but..I would like to share some thoughts and ideas that have been accumulating in my head since the suicide of a very close friend just a month ago yesterday... Debate vs. Decide

Whenever I am faced with a challenging decision, such as what my major should be, or what to do about certain individuals, I tend to use the term "Debating". I am "debating" in my mind whether I should do such and such major or I am "debating" what to do about a certain boy for instance. Well, a friend of mine brought up the realization that humans now-a-days seem to use debate far more often then the word "Decide". Why does it matter? Well because debate is a back and forth argument that may or may not ever come to a conclusion. Where as deciding forces one to come to a conclusion. Example! For a while I have been "debating" on what I should major in. There is no commitment in that statement! So I signed up for a career exploration class and so far, it has been helping me reach more narrowed conclusions as to what I am interested in. I still am not sure but I am trying to decide. I had a recent conversation with a close friend about Faith and Fear. This person was stressing about the future and feeling worry and wondering if things would work out the way he was wanting them to. He was struggling and feeling overwhelmed. This is what I shared with him. Faith CANNOT exist where there is fear and worry. God says over and over again to "Be not afraid, only believe." and "ask in faith and it shall be given you." These phrases are repeated quite often in the scriptures.  God wants us to place our faith in Him. He has promised that when we chose Faith over Fear, then He will be with us, He will bless us, and He will answer our prayer. I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES. I ASK for Miracles. I have learned two things through my trials growing up. 1. God WANTS to bless us. 2.
