I am a Mormon, and my husband and I did not get married in the temple...but we got there as fast as we could! Here's why.
We just celebrated our 1 year anniversary earlier this year. How times flies! Being married to my best friend has helped me learn what God's plan is for his children. I am more in love with this man than I ever thought possible and I KNOW that Heavenly Father wants us to be able to spend forever with each other...not "till death do us part".
We were both raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But unlike many, we did not marry in the temple.
We made choices that prevented us from being married there. BUT we worked very hard this past year so that we could go back and be sealed as soon as we could. It took time, tears, a lot of prayer, and our wonderful bishop of our church to help us.
June 3, 2017 Micah and I had our marriage sealed for time and all eternity in the Twin Falls Idaho temple.
It was the best day of our lives. I can't describe how special it was to be with my husband in the Lord's temple, making promises to each other and to God. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced.
In a way, I am grateful for this time we had. I feel like I have grown a stronger testimony of this gospel, and God's plan for us.
I know that it is God's perfect plan for families to be together even after this life. Even though we were not married in the temple, we got there, and that is most important. I feel so grateful for what I have learned, and this amazing man I call my husband.
That was beautiful rhys. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you made it!
